7月22日,应伟德betvlctor1946邀请,南京信息工程大学副教授Sunil Kumar Jha于长清湖校区伟德betvlctor1946506会议室分别做了题为“Advanced data analytics for pattern recognition applications”和“Basics of Neural Network Learning”的学术报告。报告会由伟德betvlctor1946副院长孙建德教授主持,学院部分教师、硕博士研究生聆听了此次报告,并参与讨论。
Sunil Kumar Jha副教授在上午的报告会中,介绍了关于数据挖掘和模式识别的方法在教育推荐、医疗诊断、食物质量检测、纳米材料等方面的应用。下午的报告中,介绍了神经网络、生物神经元和人工神经元模型、单层神经网络、双层神经网络以及多层神经网络。
在上下午的报告会结束后的交流环节,Sunil Kumar Jha副教授对老师和同学们提出的问题进行了详细的解答,使同学们受益匪浅。通过此次报告会,我院师生对数据挖掘和模式识别方法的应用研究有了更深的理解与认识,开阔了同学们的视野。
Sunil Kumar Jha received the B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in physics from Veer Bahadur Singh Purvanchal University, India, in 2003 and 2005, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree in physics from Banaras Hindu University, India, in 2012. From 2012 to 2014, he was a Postdoctoral Researcher with Kyushu University, Japan, and Hanyang University, South Korea. From 2015 to 2017, he was an Assistant Professor with the University of Information Science and Technology, Macedonia, and also with the University of Information Technology and Management, Poland. He is currently an Associate Professor with the Nanjing University of Information Science and Technology. His research interests include chemical sensors, data mining and pattern recognition aplications, renewable energy, visualization, and animation. He has published 63 papers in reputed journals. a special issue on Secure Control of Cyber Physical Systems in the IEEE Transactions on Control of Network Systems in 2015-2017. He serves as the General Chair of the 23rd International Symposium on Mathematical Theory of Networks and Systems (MTNS 2018).
