12月26日，应伟德betvlctor1946邀请，香港中文大学陈赫教授于长清湖校区文宗楼506会议室作了题为“Minimizing Age of Information for Real -Time Monitoring inResource Constrained Industrial IoT Networks”的报告。报告会由伟德betvlctor1946副院长孙建德教授主持，学院部分教师、硕博士研究生聆听了此次报告，并参与讨论。
报告会中，陈赫教授向我们讲解了关于工业物联网的一些问题，首先他向我们详细地解读了他目前研究的项目，如何通过建立一个有约束的马尔可夫决策过程(CMDP)问题，在有限的平均传输功率下，最小化源头处的长期平均AoI(Age of Information)是研究的主要问题。然后为了解决这一问题，他提出了通过拉格朗日松弛将其转化为无约束马尔可夫决策过程(MDP)的方法。最后，仿真结果表明，与随机策略相比，所提出的最优策略的平均AoI值更低，特别是当系统面临更严格的资源约束时。这期间，陈赫教授向我们生动形象的描述了他的研究历程以及科研生活，给同学们的科研提供了很多启发。
在报告会交流环节，在座师生们与陈赫教授就报告过程中产生的问题展开了讨论，陈赫教授向在座师生们详细解答了这些问题，同学们在这场生动的报告中受益匪浅。此次报告会不仅让同学们了解了工业物联网的相关知识，也为同学们的学术研究之路做了重要的榜样。
Dr. He (Henry) CHEN received the B.Eng.degree in Communication Enginering and the M.Eng.degree in Communication and Information Systems from Shandong University, Jinan, China, in 2008 and 2011, respectively, and the Ph.D.degree in Electrical Engineering from The University of Sydney, Sydney, Australia, in 2015. He was a Research Fellow with the School of Electrical and Information Engineering, The University of Sydney before he joined Department of Information Engineering at the Chinese University of Hong Kong as a faculty member, where he is now a Research Assistant Professor.
Dr. Chen's current research interests are in the field of Intermet of Things, with a particular focus on ultrareliable low-latency wireless for industrial loT, time-sensitive networking(TSN), timely status update in real-time monitoring, and loT network security. He has published more than 100 technical papers in refereed international journals and conferences. Dr.Chen received the Outstanding Bachelor Thesis of Shandong University, the Outstanding Master Thesis of Shandong Province, the Chinese Government Award for Outstanding Self-Financed Students Abroad, and a best paper award from IEEE WCNC 2018.
